For those of you who participated in the pie fundraiser, please read the letter below for an important message from the company. Dear Supporters of Echo Schools, We have been so excited to offer our pies to help boost your school and provide a delicious pie for you and your families to enjoy over the holidays. Unfortunately, we have had an unintended miscommunication in our company that has a direct impact on the pies that you’ve received. Our Fruit Variety of 5” Mini Pies has been advertised as being VEGAN, but it came to my attention as the Fundraising Manager just this week that these pies are NOT VEGAN. They have been made with the same 100% all butter crust that the other offerings have featured. We are profoundly sorry for misinforming you of this and not catching this before the pies were sold to you. All the materials that have been given to your fundraising coordinator along with the verbal communication that I’ve had with them have assured them that they would be Vegan. The fault completely falls on our unintended miscommunication. Though we aren’t able to replace the pies with a vegan option, we want to hear from of you who are unable to enjoy these pies to make this right for you without affecting the profits that the group has made.
